In the interview with Ernesto Gim\u00e9nez Caballero that appeared in <em>La Gaceta Literaria<\/em> on December 1, 1928, shortly before his trip to New York, he states: &#8220;I studied a lot. I was at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/lugar\/colegio-sagrado-corazon\/\">Sagrado Coraz\u00f3n de Jes\u00fas School<\/a>, in Granada. I knew a lot, a lot. But at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/lugar\/i-e-s-padre-suarez\/\">College<\/a> they gave me huge assignments. Then, at the University, I failed in Literature, Precepts and History of the Spanish Language.
