{"id":7723,"date":"2021-08-05T10:12:07","date_gmt":"2021-08-05T10:12:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/vinculo-obra-literar\/pro_02-76\/"},"modified":"2021-10-19T10:52:09","modified_gmt":"2021-10-19T10:52:09","slug":"pro_02-76","status":"publish","type":"vinculo_obra_literar","link":"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/vinculo-obra-literar\/pro_02-76\/","title":{"rendered":"PRO_02-76"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The speech <em>Mariana Pineda in Granada<\/em> was given on May 5, 1929 at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/lugar\/teatrillo-del-alhambra-palace\/\">Hotel Alhambra Palace<\/a> in Granada, on the occasion of a tribute made by the city to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/personaje\/xirgu-subira-margarita\/\">Margarita Xirgu<\/a> and Federico Garc\u00eda Lorca. On April 29, 1929, Margarita Xirgu premiered this work in Granada, in the Cervantes Theater (in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/lugar\/plaza-de-mariana-pineda\/\">Mariana Pineda square<\/a> presided by her statue), shortly before the poet embarked for New York.<\/p>\n<p>The banquet was given by the director of <em>El Defensor de Granada newspaper<\/em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/personaje\/ruiz-carnero-constantino\/\">Constantino Ruiz Carnero<\/a>. Among those present were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/personaje\/falla-matheu-manuel-de\/\">Falla<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/personaje\/de-los-rios-urruti-fernando\/\">Fernando de los R\u00edos<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/personaje\/garcia-rodriguez-federico\/\">the author&#8217;s father<\/a>&#8230; and other personalities sent their support by mail, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/personaje\/dali-y-domenech-salvador\/\">Dal\u00ed<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/personaje\/fernandez-almagro-melchor\/\">Melchor Fern\u00e1ndez Almagro<\/a>.
