{"id":7703,"date":"2021-08-05T10:11:56","date_gmt":"2021-08-05T10:11:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/vinculo-obra-literar\/poe_09-62\/"},"modified":"2021-09-07T08:54:50","modified_gmt":"2021-09-07T08:54:50","slug":"poe_09-62","status":"publish","type":"vinculo_obra_literar","link":"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/vinculo-obra-literar\/poe_09-62\/","title":{"rendered":"POE_09-62"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The offer by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/personaje\/gallego-burin-antonio\/\">Antonio Gallego Bur\u00edn<\/a> to publish the work in the publishing house of the University of Granada arose after a lecture on <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/obra-literaria\/yerma\/\">Yerma<\/a><\/em> that the poet gave in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/lugar\/casa-de-los-tiros\/\">Casa de los Tiros (Shooting House)<\/a> and continued in the restaurant Los Manueles. The event was also attended by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/personaje\/garcia-gomez-emilio\/\">Emilio Garc\u00eda G\u00f3mez<\/a>. From this meeting came Gallego Bur\u00edn&#8217;s request to Federico to give him the manuscript for publication and Garc\u00eda G\u00f3mez&#8217;s commitment to prepare the collection and write the prolog. According to Garc\u00eda G\u00f3mez the book was never published because of the Civil War.<\/p>\n<p>In the prolog, Garc\u00eda G\u00f3mez (who had published <em>Poemas ar\u00e1bigo-andaluces (Arabic-Andalusian Poems)<\/em>) in 1930 and which Lorca surely read) pointed out the differences between the Arabic stanzas and those used by Federico.
