Lorca read several poems from the book at the event held at the theater of the Hotel Alhambra Palace<\/a> on the occasion of the Cante Jondo (Deep Song) Contest. He also read at a recital he gave at the Ateneo de Valladolid on April 8, 1926, while Jorge Guill\u00e9n<\/a> was professor of Spanish Literature at the University of Valladolid. In New York, during the tributes to Antonia Merc\u00e9, La Argentina, he gave another recital.<\/p>\n
