{"id":7683,"date":"2021-08-05T10:11:43","date_gmt":"2021-08-05T10:11:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/vinculo-obra-literar\/poe_05-43\/"},"modified":"2021-08-05T10:11:43","modified_gmt":"2021-08-05T10:11:43","slug":"poe_05-43","status":"publish","type":"vinculo_obra_literar","link":"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/vinculo-obra-literar\/poe_05-43\/","title":{"rendered":"POE_05-43"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Despite the distance -physical and temporal- some poems in <em>Poeta en Nueva York (Poet in New York)<\/em> have a close relationship with Granada and, in particular, with the garden of the house at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/lugar\/casa-acera-del-darro-50\/\">Acera del Darro 60<\/a>, to whih the Lorca family moved when they arrived in 1908 from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/lugar\/casa-familiar-de-valderrubio\/\">Valderrubio<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/personaje\/garcia-lorca-isabel\/\">Isabel<\/a>, the poet&#8217;s sister, revealed in her memoirs all the Granada references contained in the poem 1910 <em>Intermediate<\/em> and, in particular, four of its lines: <em>&#8220;\u00a1Aquellos ojos m\u00edos en el cuello de la jaca [Those eyes of mine in the neck of the jackass], \/ en el seno traspasado de Santa Rosa dormida [in the pierced bosom of Santa Rosa asleep], \/ en los tejados del amor, con gemidos y frescas manos [on the roofs of love, with moans and fresh hands], \/ en un jard\u00edn donde los gatos se com\u00edan a las ranas [in a garden where the cats ate the frogs&#8221;]<\/em>. &#8220;The neck of the jackass is undoubtedly that of the animal that [Federico] was forced onto when he was very young and did not want to walk. Santa Rosa was also in my house: it was a brightly colored print that Dolores [la Colorina, one of the maids] had in her room.
