At number 50 Acera del Darro Street, the Garc\u00eda Lorca family lived from 1909 to 1916, having just arrived from Valderrubio. In this location, the Federico Cultural House in Granada serves as a starting point to showcase Federico in his city\u2014the city where the musician, poet, illustrator, and playwright first awakened. It traces a path between the two sidewalks where he lived: Acera del Darro and Acera del Casino, surrounded by all the inspiration and stimuli that would lead him to become the genius he was\u2014and still is.<\/p>\n

Nearby landmarks include Caf\u00e9 Alameda (El Rinconcillo), the singing caf\u00e9s, Plaza Mariana Pineda, the now-vanished Cervantes Theater (where he first saw Margarita Xirgu perform), Caf\u00e9 Suizo, the print shop and bookstore that published his first book Impressions and Landscapes<\/em>, and the home of his first piano teacher, Antonio Segura.
