Their father was Miguel Rosales Vallecillos, an industrialist who owned a family haberdashery, Almacenes La Esperanza, located in the Arco de las Cucharas, next to the Bib-Rambla Square; their mother was Esperanza Camacho Corona.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Miguel and his brother Antonio were upset by Lorca&#8217;s presence in their home. Specifically, Miguel was accused in a book by one of his nephews of being opposed to welcoming the poet.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He was flag leader of the Falange of Granada in the tumultuous days of the beginning of the Civil War and is blamed for some &#8220;quite violent&#8221; actions. Before joining Jos\u00e9 Antonio&#8217;s party he was a monarchist sympathizer.<\/p>\n<p>According to his testimony, on August 16, the day of Lorca&#8217;s arrest, he was in the San Jer\u00f3nimo barracks, &#8220;rehearsing the handling of weapons to a group of volunteers&#8221;, when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/personaje\/ruiz-alonso-ramon\/\">Ram\u00f3n Ruiz Alonso<\/a> arrived and told him: &#8220;I know that you have Federico Garc\u00eda Lorca in your house and I have an arrest warrant to take him to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/lugar\/gobierno-civil-1933-1944\/\">Gobierno Civil<\/a>. I didn&#8217;t want to go to your house without telling you and, therefore, come with me.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>When they arrived, Miguel Rosales recalls that &#8220;the whole building was surrounded by Assault and Militia guards. Ram\u00f3n Ruiz Alonso was wearing an overall with Falange party badges on it&#8221;. Miguel and his brother Antonio were upset by Lorca&#8217;s presence <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/lugar\/casa-de-los-rosales\/\">in their house<\/a>. Specifically, Miguel was accused in a book by one of his nephews, the painter Gerardo Rosales, of being opposed to welcoming the poet.
