{"id":7868,"date":"2021-08-10T07:59:32","date_gmt":"2021-08-10T07:59:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/obra-literaria\/divan-del-tamarit\/"},"modified":"2021-10-25T09:12:06","modified_gmt":"2021-10-25T09:12:06","slug":"tamarit-divan","status":"publish","type":"obra_literaria","link":"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/obra-literaria\/tamarit-divan\/","title":{"rendered":"Divan del Tamarit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Div\u00e1n del Tamarit (Divan del Tamarit)<\/em> (divan is a set of poems in Arabic and Tamarit is a tribute to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/lugar\/huerta-del-tamarit\/\">Lorca&#8217;s uncle&#8217;s Farmhouse<\/a>) consists of two blocks of poems, the &#8220;Gacelas&#8221; (&#8220;Gazelles&#8221;) and the &#8220;Qasidas&#8221;. Poems of love, eroticism and pain, the gazelles. Poems of death, the qasidas.<\/strong> The latter shows the personified elements and metaphors of death and pain that run through all Lorca&#8217;s work: the well, the child hurt by water, the personified cry, the drowned girl&#8230; The verses become thinner and thinner until they return to childhood, to the echo of children&#8217;s folklore, to the child who asks for his grave.<\/p>\n<p>In the gazelles we still find the presence of love, even if only in the form of desire, memory or dream.
