In the romantic hall of this original 16th century building, which has undergone numerous changes and additions, the poet read on September 27, 1934 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/obra-literaria\/yerma\/\"><em>Yerma<\/em><\/a> to a group of friends and, most importantly, for the first time announced the new project he was working on, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/obra-literaria\/divan-del-tamarit\/\"><em> Divan del Tamarit<\/em><\/a>, which would be his last book and which appeared posthumously, in 1940, in the Losada publishing house of Buenos Aires and in the New York publication <em>Revista Hisp\u00e1nica Moderna<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Divan del Tamarit<\/em> is composed of about twenty poems between casidas (in Arabic lyric poetry, any composition of a certain length that respects a certain internal structure) and ghazals (in its original meaning, short poems of erotic character) that pay homage to the Arab-Andalusian poets and refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/lugar\/tamarit-farmhouse\/\">Huerta del Tamarit<\/a>, a country house owned by the Lorca family located next to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/lugar\/huerta-de-san-vicente\/\">Huerta de San Vicente (San Vicente Farmhouse) <\/a> and which the poet frequented during his summer visits to Granada.<\/p>\n<p>In 1922, the Casa de los Tiros hosted the selective recitals of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/lugar\/plaza-de-los-aljibes\/\">Flamenco Song Contest<\/a> which were attended by Garc\u00eda Lorca and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/personaje\/falla-matheu-manuel-de\/\">Manuel de Falla<\/a>, among others.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":9320,"template":"","inters_del_lugar":[118],"ruta":[64],"class_list":["post-9319","lugar","type-lugar","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","inters_del_lugar-complementary","ruta-route-of-granada"],"trid":"189","_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/lugar\/9319"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/lugar"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/lugar"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/9320"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=9319"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"inters_del_lugar","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/inters_del_lugar?post=9319"},{"taxonomy":"ruta","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ruta?post=9319"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
