{"id":8853,"date":"2021-08-31T09:41:13","date_gmt":"2021-08-31T09:41:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/lugar\/pitres\/"},"modified":"2021-10-01T12:34:08","modified_gmt":"2021-10-01T12:34:08","slug":"pitres","status":"publish","type":"lugar","link":"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/lugar\/pitres\/","title":{"rendered":"Pitres"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Federico Garc\u00eda Lorca&#8217;s visits to the Alpujarra were not limited to the towns closest to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/lugar\/balneario-de-lanjaron\/\">Lanjar\u00f3n<\/a>. He also went into the deep Alpujarra, then more difficult to access, seeking contact with even more untamed and beautiful landscapes and with the unknown inhabitants who lived half isolated in almost inaccessible villages.<\/p>\n<p>Another site linked to the Lorquian Alpujarra is the village of Pitres, which today belongs to the municipality of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.turgranada.es\/en\/municipio\/la-taha\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">La Tah\u00e1<\/a> together with Mecina Fondales and Ferreirola. Federico&#8217;s visit, accompanied by two friends, took place in the spring of 1928. The documents that prove the stay are a letter to the poet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/personaje\/guillen-alvarez-jorge\/\">Jorge Guill\u00e9n<\/a> and two photographs in one of which he poses as a crucified man next to a tree stripped of leaves and, in the background, the walls of a farmhouse from which protrude the heads of a group of curious people, perhaps his guides, next to a tied-up donkey.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mceTemp\"><\/div>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8293\" class=\"thumbnail wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 1000px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/a02_act_05-e1576665230196.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8293 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/a02_act_05-e1576665230196.jpg\" alt=\"Reproduction of the photo that Lorca sent to Jorge Guill\u00e9n with the text: &quot;Here I am in Pitres, village without voice or pigeons of the sierra. Tell me. We&#8217;ve sent a special issue for you unannounced.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The photographs accompanying the missive have separate messages. In the first, on the back, he writes: &#8220;Here I am high in the Alpujarras where I went with two friends. Next to me are the guides. The atmosphere is prodigious. Sierra Nevada is never seen. When will we go together to these places? One loses the notion of Europe. What is this? I am very serious in the photo because I am ruminating my surprise&#8221;.
