The dictatorship of Primo de Rivera prevented <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/personaje\/martinez-sierra-gregorio\/\">Gregorio Mart\u00ednez Sierra<\/a> from directing the play, but a year earlier he abandoned the project. Finally, it will be the company of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/personaje\/xirgu-subira-margarita\/\">Margarita Xirgu<\/a> that will premiere the play. The play was published in the collection called <em>The Farse<\/em> with drawings by the author himself in 1928.
