{"id":7274,"date":"2021-07-29T08:18:53","date_gmt":"2021-07-29T08:18:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/estreno-obra-literar\/poe_07-22\/"},"modified":"2021-10-15T12:20:35","modified_gmt":"2021-10-15T12:20:35","slug":"poe_07-22","status":"publish","type":"estreno_obra_literar","link":"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/estreno-obra-literar\/poe_07-22\/","title":{"rendered":"POE_07-22"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The only edition during the author&#8217;s lifetime appeared in 1935 in the Cruz y Raya and Ediciones del \u00c1rbol publishing houses. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/personaje\/bergamin-gutierrez-jose\/\">Jos\u00e9 Bergam\u00edn<\/a>, director of the magazine between 1933 and 1936, gave in to Lorca&#8217;s insistence that the illustrations be done by Jos\u00e9 Caballero (Huelva, 1913-Madrid, 1991), who worked on them following some of Lorca&#8217;s indications (&#8220;Your drawings are true tempests of calm cloths&#8221;, Lorca wrote to him). Both artists had planned to make a mural in the summer of 1936 in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universolorca.com\/en\/lugar\/huerta-de-san-vicente\/\">Huerta de San Vicente (San Vicente Farmhouse)<\/a>, a project that was cut short by the Civil War and the shooting of Federico Garc\u00eda Lorca.
